Overview

Amrita Dravya Foundation is a coalition of fervent individuals coming together with the aim of securing natural common resources and the livelihoods depended on them. The Foundation has a special focus on the conservation of grasslands and their habitats that are often neglected and are in urgent need of conservation attention. Our approach is based on addressing the root cause of sustainability issues, engaging with key stakeholders, and using traditional wisdom with technology for conservation.

Our Mission

We drive a concerted effort to conserve as well as restore ecological functionality for human well-being – with a lens on grassland livelihoods – through actions based on traditional ethnic wisdom, collaboration, technology, on-ground efforts, and policy advocacy.

Our Vision

We envision our natural grasslands to be secured for future generations, and for the milching animals that can suitably only sustain on them.
